We are excited to be hearing a presentation from Saill White. Ms. White’s presentation will educate us about our fragile election system, discussing topics of voter registration, poll books, and voting; myths about voting systems, a discussion of some of her findings, and some suggestions of what we need to do.

The last meeting before the June 5th Election. Come prepared to learn about candidates running in the various races and share with others which candidates you support and why. We hope this open discussion based meeting helps everyone prepare for casting their votes!
April 11th at 7pm at the Alameda Hospital 2070 Clinton Ave, Second Floor - Room A
We'll be meeting the candidates for Alameda County Assessor and Auditor and will possibly be endorsing one of the candidates. We'll also be voting on whether to endorse County Measure A: Early Childhood Developement.
Our March meeting will feature a debate between Alameda County District Attorney candidates: Nancy O’Malley (incumbent) vs. Pamela Price (challenger). Following the debate there will be an endorsement vote for qualifying members (up-to-date on dues and who have attended one meeting in the past 12 months prior to the vote.) Please note this meeting is being held at the Alameda Elks Lodge!

Our February meeting is dedicated to discussing the housing crisis in the Bay Area. Housing shortages disproportionally affects our most vulnerable citizens and is a matter of social, economic, and racial justice.
