This month we’ll be hearing from members of Alameda’s City Charter Revision Subcommittee: Vice Mayor John Knox White and City Councilmember Tony Daysog. They will be sharing with us their progress and answering questions about their process ahead of two workshops scheduled for June 26 and 27 in partnership with the League of Women Voters of Alameda. This is an exciting time to learn about how our city charter is a living document.
Also this month we’ll begin mobilizing for 2020! We’re teaming up with Reclaim Our Vote for our first postcard campaign of the year. Reclaim Our Vote, is a volunteer-driven, nonpartisan effort to reach out to voters of color in states with a long and ugly history of voter suppression. It is not a coincidence that the recent roll back of women's rights have largely taken place in these states that have a history of voter suppression. This month we'll be reaching out to unregistered voters in Virgina.
