March 2018 Meeting: DA Debate & Endorsement Vote

The CADC is hosting a debate between Alameda County District Attorney candidates: Nancy O’Malley (incumbent) vs. Pamela Price (challenger) for our March meeting.

This debate and Q&A will be a chance for voters to get to know their choices for perhaps the most important local race in the June 5 election. After the debate, members of the club (must be paid-up and have attended any CADC event in the last 12 months) will cast their ballots to see which candidate, if any, receives the club’s endorsement.

This meeting is being held at the Alameda Elks Lodge at 2255 Santa Clara on March 14th from 7-9pm. The meeting is open to the public - invite your friends! It is important for every voter to know their candidates.

District attorneys (DAs) are more than just prosecutors. The district attorney’s job is to seek justice in criminal cases, work to prevent crime, and serve as a leader in the diverse communities they represent. The DA is also an elected official, which means they are ultimately accountable to the voters. In California, we have 58 elected DAs each representing one of our 58 counties.
