Home Is Where The Heart Is
Bring your friends and loved ones to The Alameda Democratic Club’s meeting on Wednesday, February 14, to learn from an expert panel about housing — an issue that affects everybody in Alameda and will shape our city’s future.
We will be hearing from a wide range of viewpoints, from people active and working with issues having to do with housing — real estate, renting, housing, preservation, and environmental impact. We will also have a member of the City Council on hand to present a municipal perspective on these issues.
We hope that by presenting a range of viewpoints, we can all learn about the challenges that many in our town are passionate about, and perhaps come to a clearer and more compassionate understanding of the trials that we face today and tomorrow.
Our tentative panel of speakers will include:
- Marilyn Ezzy Ashcraft, Alameda City Council
- Ethan Elkind, writer on Environment & Politics
- Victoria Fierce, East Bay for Everyone
- Paul Foreman, Alameda Citizens Task Force
- Catherine Pauling, Alameda Renters Coalition
- Jose Cerda-Zein, Realtor
