The City of Alameda Democratic Club is a grassroots organization started in 1985 and chartered with the Alameda County Democratic Central Committee. We advocate for a strong Democratic presence in Alameda. We do this by involving the community, supporting progressive candidates and educating voters.

The CADC is a place where you can become part of Alameda's community life. Members of the CADC include state and locally elected officials, representatives of numerous advisory bodies, civic, business, and professional leaders.

We hold monthly meetings, the second Wednesday of the month with the purpose of educating voters. These informational meetings include lectures, discussion panels and debates. The club also votes to endorse candidates and ballot measures. Learn more about future and past meetings here. All meetings are open to the public, but you must be a club member in good standing to vote in an endorsement meeting.

We welcome participation at all levels of Club activity. Most of our members are Democrats of progressive persuasion working together to find common ground so that we can be the most effective.

Membership is open to all registered Democrats who wish to work together for a brighter, more progressive future for Alameda. Join us!
